How to implement inclusive education in the mainstream classroom by promoting high quality pedagogical practices?
This was the key question that led to the creation of IncluA – Consulting in Inclusive Education. After gathering national and international studies, successful experiences in Brazil and abroad; and 10 years of experience with inclusive practices within a regular school, the time has come to offer schools, teachers and students tools to promote quality inclusive education. So, in the middle of 2018, we started!
IncluA offers services to schools, teachers and students.
The IncluA Escola aims to organize the management of information about students, create support services and train teachers to implement inclusive classroom practices to all learners.
The IncluA for teachers is a set of workshops for teachers aimed at sharing tools and strategies to help teachers differentiate instruction and break learning barriers for the benefit of everyone’s learning in the mainstream classroom.
The IncluA Aluno is the individualized learning support that takes into consideration the student’s learning differences and areas of success. We develop a support plan with goals and strategies as well as strategies for schools taking into account the specificities of the learner.
In Brazil, the number of enrollments of students with some learning disorder in regular classrooms has increased significantly throughout the year – as we see in the graphs below. Although inclusion laws are enhanced and with them an increasing demand for inclusive pedagogical practices, the services to cope with the diversity of learners in the classroom is still insufficient. In this scenario, IncluA has the mission of building more successful experiences for schools by reaching quality education for all learners.
